SALEM – The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County is offering women’s healthcare in Salem beginning June 27.

The new CAACC Health Center at Salem located at 2376 Southeast Boulevard will be open two days a week to begin, according to Jenna Wonner, COO of CAACC.

“Our new Health Center at Salem has been a goal for years, and we are thrilled to open to the public,” Wonner said.

“We are happy to provide women’s health and medical services at this new site, such as physicals, sick visits, gynecological care, and treatment for chronic illnesses.”

Dr. Kristi Johnson, OB-GYN, and Dr. Maria Ryhal, family practice, will see women of all ages at the new office.

Dr. Johnson has been with CAACC’s health centers since 2018, and she specializes in female health spanning from adolescents to post-menopausal women. She has 19 years of experience in office gynecology, delivering experience and obstetrical and gynecological surgeries.

Dr. Ryhal has 30 years of practice experience in Columbiana County, previously having offices in Lisbon and Salem. She previously served as CAACC’s Medical Director. She also worked at Salem Regional Medical Center doing quality improvement and palliative care as a family practitioner. She provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

“We can see patients with Medicare and Medicaid and accept most private insurances as well. And a sliding fee scale based on a family’s income is offered for those without insurance,” Wonner noted.
