Community Action Day of Giving 6/19/2021

The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County (CAACC), is holding our 2nd Annual Community Action Day of Giving on June 19th. Residents of Columbiana County with a gross household income of less than 200% 2021 Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible. Distribution will begin at 10 am and continue until we serve 500 households.  Everyday items such as paper products, kitchen supplies, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet food, laundry detergent, and first aid kits will be on hand. Participants will also receive a community bag filled with resource materials and items from several area organizations will also be provided.

This year, the event has moved to the Columbiana County Fairgrounds to accommodate more vehicles, improving traffic flow. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be guiding cars through the fairgrounds. Participants must enter the main entrance, 225 Lee Ave., Lisbon, OH 44432. Only two households per vehicle. After 500 households, the gates will be closed.

Last year, the Community Action Day of Giving was able to assist approximately 300 households (906 household members) on November 14th, 2020. While the agency holds several distributions throughout the year and has a year-round food pantry, this large-scale event was created due to the rising need in the community because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
