HOMELESS PREVENTION

Through our Homeless Prevention Programs, we strive to combat the epidemic of homelessness in Columbiana County and help individuals get back into permanent housing. For more information about our programs, call 330-424-4013.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

This program provides intensive case management, referrals, and temporary financial assistance to veteran households at or below 50 percent of the area median income who are facing a  housing crisis. It is available to qualified residents in Columbiana, Jefferson, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Harrison, and Mahoning Counties.

Emergency Homeless Shelter

Our 11-bed shelter provides emergency housing and intensive case management to individuals and families facing homelessness.

Homeless Prevention

We provide case management and financial assistance (security deposit, rent, moving costs, etc.) for residents of Columbiana County who are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness. Assistance is available to households below 30 percent of the area median income.

Small Appliance Program

This program provides small appliances to low-income individuals to help begin the process of rebuilding stable housing after experiencing homelessness.

CAA operates an 11 bed shelter which can provide emergency housing, as well as intensive case management, to both families and single individuals facing homelessness.

Case Managers are available to assist households with establishing goals and provide additional referrals to other social service programs.
