ENERGY CONSERVATION
Our Energy Conservation Programs help income-eligible Columbiana County residents ensure their homes are energy efficient, thus reducing the cost of utilities. For more information about eligibility and availability, call 330-424-4013.
Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP)
HWAP helps homeowners with projects such as caulking, hot water tank wraps, insulation, or furnace repair/replacement to increase home energy efficiency. It is not an emergency-based program and is subject to a wait list. This program is supported by the Ohio Development Services Agency (http://development.ohio.gov/contactus/ContactInfo.aspx).
Energy Conservation
Eligible Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) applicants may receive a home energy audit. This audit may include replacing light bulbs, shower heads, faucet aerators on kitchen sinks, power strips, and refrigerators/deep freezers with a non-energy efficient rating. Audits are subject to electric providers and available funding. Households are eligible for an audit once every five years.
