Transportation
The Community Action Rural Transit System enables county residents to have access to health care, school, shopping, employment, public services, and recreational opportunities. General public transportation is for everyone. You don’t need to meet any qualifications or requirements to use it. There are different public transportation services depending on where you live and where you wish to travel. CARTS serves riders in Columbiana County, Ohio. As needed, CARTS travels into Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Jefferson, Trumbull, and other counties to deliver passengers as needed. All trips must originate or end in Columbiana County.
C.A.R.T.S busing is designed to transport clients to work, stores, doctor visits, etc. for a small fare. Clients desiring to ride CARTS must schedule at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule a trip, please call the reservation line listed below. Once your trip has been scheduled, You will receive an automated call the night before with your scheduled pickup time. Drivers can arrive up to 15 minutes early, so please be ready!

CARTS Connex
Connex routes have expanded to include Salem on Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 9:00am-3:00pm. Columbiana on Wednesdays from 9:00am-3:00pm. East Liverpool Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm.
